3 April 1813 – Battle of Ludwigsburg

Austrian – 12000 infantry, 1000 cavalry, 30 guns
Baden – 14800 infantry, 1000 cavalry, 30 guns

Both corps deploy to the right of the city
Two Austrian brigades enter the near section of the city
1200-1600 
Austrian and Baden artillery fire on city, no casualties
Both commanders have sent two brigades to contest the city
Infantry are now within musket range and about to start skirmish

Austrian artillery, firing at short range, inflict 10% casualties on reserve in city
Austrian jagers win skirmish in city, Baden receive 10% casualties and are shaken



1700-1800 
Austrian infantry in city charge defenders, who break and rout






Conclusion
With two brigades in rout the Baden commander orders a general retreat
