8 March 1813 – North Spain

Following the loss of the battle of Palencia, 4^th and 6^th French corps are forced to retreat north off the map.

With the loss of two of his five corps, Marshal Soult orders a general retreat.

Wellington has clearly achieved both of his campaign objectives.

First to take and hold Valladolid

Second to defeat the French army
