lost the Brunswick campaign the First French Army have retreated to Osnabruck
to regroup.
On
17 March they are ordered to move east
and take Hannover. They advance to the
line Rahden-Minden-Herford.
The
Prussian Army have occupied Brunswick, where they rest and reorganise. On 17 March they are ordered to move west
and take Hannover. They advance to the
line Nienburg-Burgdorf-Hameln.
