23 July 1813 – Battle of Medina

The British have a strong defensive position on the left bank of the river Ebro
The French must cross the river to reach the three squares in front of Medina

French army is commanded by Marshal Oudinot
They have 10 battle casualties
Also one infantry brigade detached on garrison duty

British army is commanded General Hill
They have 14 battle casualties.

French – 11 infantry brigades, 3 cavalry brigade, 3 corps artillery
