3 August 1813 – Battle of Ubeda

13th French army cross border and attack Ubeda
1st Spanish army have orders to advance to border

13th French Army – 10 infantry brigades, 2 cavalry brigade, 3 corps artillery
1st Spanish Army – 13 infantry brigades, 2 cavalry brigade, 3 corps artillery

On the left 2nd corps complete with a lancer brigade

3rd militia brigade is the garrison of Ubeda and must remain in the town

Spanish retreat having lost two of the three game objectives
With 1 and 2 corps in retreat, 3 corps in the centre have to abandon centre hill
With seven brigades in rout the Spanish army accept defeat and retreat

The French have taken two of the three game objectives (left and right hills)
They are about to attack the third game objective (hill in the centre)

The French have won this battle.

French have lost 5 infantry and 1 cavalry casualties (2100 men)
Spanish have lost 9 infantry, 1 cavalry and 2 artillery casualties (3900 men)
