23 April 1813 – North Germany

Prussians halt and resupply, they also establish a new depot at Eilseben.

Napoleon opens two new depots at Rohrburg and Helmstedt.   He closes Gihorn and Wolfenbutten and moves their supplies forward.   1st and 4th corps deploy east of Wulfburg and prepare to attack Eilseben

Each corps started the campaign with four days supplies and a further two days in each of the depots.  Each depot receives one days supplies each day.   To resupply a corps must be within one days march (three squares) of a depot.

1st and 4th French corps are out of supply range, which is why Napoleon has opened a new depot at Wulfsburg.   He has opened the new depots so that his army can move further east, and still be within range of their supplies.
