Both
armies rest, resupply and regroup, they also start to receive replacements for
their battle casualties.
The
general retreat of the allied army has left 10th Bavarian corps very
exposed east of Wassenburg. Oudinot
orders them to retreat towards Holzkirchen, and to move the depot there.
Schwartzenberg
fails to take advantage of this retreat, because the movement is screened from
2nd Corps by the mountains.
And in addition he is concentrating on reorganising his supply
system. He has ordered a concentration
of supplies close to the river Isar in preparation for an advance over the
river.
