24 August 1813 – Leon Campaign – Day 15

All four British corps retreat towards river Duero

They abandon their depots at Sanabria and Benevente

They move 4 days supplies from Mayorga to Zamora

                      

All four French corps advance

7^th corps occupy Sanabria and secure depot

16^th corps occupy Benevente and secure depot

The French are very low on supplies

8^th corps is out of supplies and will lose 400 men per day until resupplied

Both corps have suffered heavy campaign casualties

Both commanders order a cease fire to resupply and regroup

The French hold Leon and win the campaign phase
