8 March 1813 – South Germany

French redeploy around Augsburg

The 16,000 strong Army of the Tyrol arrive at Krumbach
They are in support of the Austrian Army, but not under their control
Neither side were aware that they had been ordered to do so.

Austrian cavalry recce the river Lech bridges

Both armies are running short of supplies
Both commanders have failed to provide sufficient resupply
