18 March 1813 - Southern Spain - Talavera Campaign

Having lost the Almarez campaign the Fifth French Army have retreated to Toledo to regroup.  

On 18 March  they are ordered to move east and take Talavera.   They advance to the line Mombeltran-Maqueda-Ricomalilo.

The Spanish Army have occupied Almarez, where they rest and reorganise.   On 18 March they are ordered to move west and take Talavera.   They advance to the line San Pedro-Oropesa-Arzobispo.
