30 March 1813 - Central Germany

General Wittgenstein accepts that the French have won this campaign.   He orders his Army to break contact and retreat to Dresden to resupply and regroup.

Marshal Davout orders his Army to deploy around Gotha.
Strategic Map

The Gotha campaign was the second phase in Central Germany between the Second French and Russian armies.   It lasted 10 days and there were three battles.   The French won two of the battles and the Russians won one.

The French won this campaign phase.

The campaign started on 15 August and ended on 28 October 2015
