01 May 1813 – North Spain



Wellington orders 1st, 2nd and 4th corps to resupply in preparation for the attack on Tordesillas

He orders 3rd corps to attack Medina, to distract Soult from preparations in the centre

Soult had completed his redeployment and awaits the British attack

It is a close fought battle, but at nightfall the Italians retreat
With 1400 casualties they have suffered less than the British
But two infantry brigades and the gunners are in rout
The British have lost 1600 casualties and one brigade in shaken
