05 May 1813 – North Spain



Wellington is too weak in the centre to attack. 
He orders 1st British corps attack Mayorga, and 3rd British corps move towards Medina

Spanish occupy Palencia and capture a second supply column

The main French supply road to Palencia is cut by Spanish irregulars
Soult orders 7th corps to send one brigade to take the city and hold the road open
He also orders 18th corps to advance towards Canizo

1st British corps win the battle of Mayorga.  Casualties are equal at 1700, but the French gunners and one infantry brigade also rout.
