02 June 1813 – Battle of Erlangen – Left Wing

Tactical map of battle area
Oudinot has recovered from the earlier battles sooner than the Austrians
This is because he had to retreat and is nearer to his supply base
He has ordered an unexpected attack hoping to catch the enemy unprepared

Bavarians attack Erlangen
Austrian – 27600 infantry, 2000 cavalry, 57 guns
Bavarian – 26800 infantry, 1900 cavalry, 54 guns
Table at start of wargame
This battle covers too large an area to wargame on one table
The two battles, named left and right wing, take part at the same time
But will be fought as two wargames.
