11 March 1813 - Southern Spain

Two French corps attack two Spanish corps at Almarez
The Spanish hold the city, and nearby hill, which both command the river Tagus
However the river is fordable to infantry and cavalry
The French cross and take the hill
The Spanish retain the city
The Spanish must now decide whether to abandon the city
If they do not retreat the French will lay siege to Almarez.
