12 April 1813 - Central Germany - Gotha Campaign

The Gotha Phase is the first campaign after the armistice in Central Germany.   It covers the area outlined in white above.

Both armies are in contact along the river Weser.

Each corps has detached one infantry brigade to establish a depot.   This will ensure that they can replace the supplies used each day.  

Wittgenstein is content to hold the river, and to leave the initiative to the French.

Davout receives orders to cross the river Weser, establish a bridgehead and press on to take Gotha
