17 April 1813 - South Germany



The Bavarian army urgently need to rest and resupply
Particularly 9th and 11th corps who are out of supply
They will both lose 400 men each day until resupplied
Oudinot orders all four corps to hold and resupply
New depots ordered at Rottenburg and Bischofsheld
In preparation for final attack tomorrow

Schwartzenberg is determined to strike before they can do so
He orders 1st and 3rd corps to attack Konigsfeld
The Austrians are rewarded with a convincing victory
For the loss of 1600 casualties they take Konigsfeld
The Bavarians retreat with 2400 casualties and three brigades in rout
