21 May 1813 - Central Germany


Wittgenstein must hold Gotha at all costs
He orders his army to move south and concentrate at Gotha
17 brigade is ordered to hold Mulhausen as long as possible

1 corps retreat to L02 and attempt to rally
2 corps move to K04
3 corps move to Dolstadt
4 corps move to K03

Davout has a serious supply problem
His corps are running short of supplies
There are sufficient supplies available, but they are out of range of the corps
He must order a halt until he can reorganise his depots.
To obstruct the Russian redeployment he orders 6th corps to attack Mulhausen

2 corps move to I04                                                      
5 corps move to I05                                                                
6 corps attack Mulhausen                                                    
14 corps hold and resupply

6th corps attack Mulhausen, which is a fortified town
It is held by a single infantry brigade
Garrison suffer 400 casualties and retreat towards Dolstadt.
